Miss Traci Reception
At age 3, Traci discovered the magical world of dance at her first dance class and continued taking lessons until age 18. She then spent a few years in the theater world. She danced with The Peoria Players in “A Chorus Line,” Corn Stock Theater’s “West Side Story,” and “The Goodbye Girl” with East Light Theater. After working at CEFCU for 17 years, Traci is a happy stay at home mom with 2 children and her love of dance now continues through her daughter (MLSD Teacher's Assistant, Miss Reilly). Traci loves to sew and has focused her interest and skills into sewing costumes and working on props for recitals and competitions.
Miss Katie Reception
Katie is a graduate of Washington Community High School where she was a member of the dance team. She went on to ICC where she also was a member of the dance team for 2 years. She currently works PRN as a Radiological Technologist at Pekin Hospital in addition to working as MLSD’s Office Coordinator. She has been married for 16 years to her husband, Jason. She has three children – Logan (16) who is a member of the WCHS Baseball team, Tyler (14) who is active in Football, Basketball, and Track, and Natalie (11) who is a member of the MLSD Competition Team and a Teacher Assistant here at MLSD.
Miss Marie Reception
Marie Moreland is a native of Peoria and graduate of Academy of Our Lady. She was with Cook Travel and Cruise for the 14 years as office manager. Marie is a former 10 year employee of American Airlines where she worked in customer service. She also owned and operated a daycare for 15 years, as she loves working with children! Marie currently works for OSF Healthcare. She is a volunteer for the American Cancer Society, and supporter of St. Jude and local schools. She also volunteered for Peoria Ballet in 2011 assisting with marketing for their production of Nutcracker. Travel is one of Marie’s passions, and she has visited numerous destinations throughout the United States, the Caribbean and Mexico. Marie resides in Washington with her husband of 19 years, Larry. They have 6 children and 11 grandchildren (with 1 more on the way!). She is thrilled to be working with children again and celebrating the love of dance with her son, Mr. Dan, and daughter-in-law, Miss Laura!
