Miss Melissa Tiny Tots, Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap
Melissa Montgomery began training in Peoria-area dance and performing arts studios from age 3-18. She began competing nationally at a young age, and has performed at the White House, Disney World, and countless events in the Midwest. She was a member and captain of the Washington Pantherettes, where she first gained experience with team choreography. She continued her dancing at Southern Illinois University as a four-year member and captain of the Saluki Shakers, a dance team that performed and trained year-round and competed yearly at UDA Collegiate Nationals. Melissa choreographed many of SIU’s routines, including their nationals hip hop. After college, she choreographed for a high school dance team, and taught hip hop classes at Five Points Washington. She is thrilled to return to dance instruction, now as a mother, with a new love of teaching children.
